Suzanne Mendonca - Founder :BA(Hons), PGCE, IDTA, FDA (Dance Teaching), L4 Dip  Dance                                                                                                                                                                  
Suzanne is a dance educator, dance confidence specialist and founder of DanceMode Academy Dance Schools. After successfully running her Croydon after-school dance club for 4 years, the first DanceMode School was founded in Coulsdon, Croydon in 2002.  Suzanne went on to be a partner in the set up and running of DanceMode Selsdon in 2003 and DanceMode Mitcham in 2004. Suzanne activey co-ordinates and organises DanceMode events and co-hosts and lectures on Dance Teacher Training (DTT) courses affiliated with the International Dance Teachers Association

Suzanne started dancing at the age of 5 in tap, ballet and modern before changing over to the Ballroom branch at the age of 9yrs to learn Latin American, Ballroom and Freestyle at the Benny Tolmeyer school of dance. Suzanne is an IDTA Professional lecturer, adjudicator, aerobics instructor and qualified school teacher.

  Lauren Hogan - Principal Sutton DMA Branch

 Lauren studied Urban Dance at the University of East London before studying with   DMA to become a qualified IDTA dance teacher. She is experienced in teaching all   genres   within 'Street Dance' including House. Lauren became the Principal of   Sutton   DMA  branch in 2021.

 Anna O'Brien - Principal Orpington DMA Branch

 Anna started dancing at the age of 8yrs and was one of the original pupils     at  DanceMode Croydon - Coulsdon Branch. Anna furthered her studies of   dance by attending the BRIT school before embarking on her professional   training with the IDTA to become a qualified dance teacher in 2014.  Anna became the Principal of DMA Addington in 2020 before moving her dance school to Orpington in 2023.

​ Taylor Franklin - Dance Teacher/Choreographer

 Taylor trained in Theatre dance specialising in contemporary genres. She has   studied 'Dance Choreography' at University College Falmouth and completed her   'Dance Teacher Training Apprenticeship' with DMA qualifying as an IDTA Associate                                   Teacher in 2018.

 Mogul Thongpreecha -Dance Teacher/Choreographer

Mogul is part of London's dance crews and has participated in numerous professional dance jobs. She is trained in hip-hop, popping, commercial, jazz funk, waacking, locking, heels and breaking.  Mogul teaches the Junior clas at DMA Coulsdon.

 Thea Petrie - Dance Assistant/Choreographer
​Thea has been dancing and competing in Street dance competitions from a very young age.  She currently dances in the crew IMD Legion and attends the BRIT school.  Thea assists in both Coulsdon and Sutton dance schools.

Becky Morley - Dance Gymnastic/Acro Teacher

Becky is a qualifed IDTA dance teacher and British Gymnastics coach.
Formerly a competitive gymnast and cheerleader Becky now focuses on teaching students correct technical stages of moves and tricks. She has experience teaching in all Dance Gymnastic related genres including Acro, Tumble and Cheer.

Ben Hewlett - Dance Assistant/Choreographer

Ben has been a DMA student since he was 8 years old. He has gone on to become an experienced and accomplished dancer holding the title of both the DanceMode running Solo and Doubles titles. Ben continues to suppport DMA events and teaches at DMA workshops



All teachers are fully qualified and DBS checked.
